About Columbia, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Columbia, Kentucky is a city located in Adair County, and it also serves as the county seat. This community is home to about 4,500 residents and is situated just above Russell Creek. Columbia was originally settled in around 1802 by Daniel Trabue, and today it is home to Lindsey Wilson College, while younger students will complete their secondary education at Adair County High School. Columbia is well known for hosting the annual festival Downtown Days, which is a two day event that features a 5K race, parade, beauty pageant, carnival, and live musical entertainment.

Despite being a relatively small town, there are a few notable attractions located in Columbia. Holmes Bend Marina is found in this community, and this full-service marina offers houseboats, pontoons, jet skis, log cabins, and a restaurant. The Pines and Lindsey Wilson is a popular country club in the community and offers an 18 hold golf course. History buffs might like to visit the Trabue Russell House, while other notable attractions in the area include Pump Jack Offroad Recreational Park and the Casey House.

Columbia residents will want to have a good relationship with their HVAC technician, as the varied weather conditions that this community experiences will make it necessary for both home heating and cooling systems to be in place. During the summer, temperatures will exceed 90 degrees and feature high humidity. For this reason it is crucial that residents have a cool place to spend the hottest days, and an efficient cooling system can keep utility costs affordable throughout the summer.

Homeowners will also want to have their heat pump or furnace serviced during the autumn months. While winters are mild or cool, overnight lows do fall to the freezing point or even lower quite often, so a good heating system will keep interior temperature comfortable. In addition, these systems are crucial when it comes to protecting some of your home’s most important features, such as the pipes and plumbing.
